Job Description

Project Governance:

  • Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and best practices to promote consistency and excellence in project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and project teams in adhering to governance processes and standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in project management and IT, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance PMO operations within the tech division.


Reporting

  • Process and analyze large datasets to generate timely and insightful reports for management.


Resource Management

  • Coordinate resource allocation across projects to optimize resource utilization and ensure project success.
  • Identify resource constraints and conflicts and work with project managers to address them.


Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate with various departments within the IT division to establish, review, and evaluate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to processes and procedures and facilitate external audit activities as necessary.
  • Collaborate with developers to conduct comprehensive quality assessments, identify issues, and drive continuous improvement in software quality and performance.


Leadership

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to PMO team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Define team goals and objectives and establish clear expectations for performance and accountability.


Others

  • Research and implement new tools and systems beneficial to the organization/division, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct various training.
  • Perform any other duties as and when assigned by HOD/CTO.


The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or other related disciplines
  • Project Management and IT Operation Management related certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Prince2, Agile or equivalent would be an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years' work experience, with at least 5 years of PMO/Project Management experience within the IT and financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Strong in presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, independent, and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to speak in Mandarin.
