Avalara is looking for an extraordinary talent to innovate, design, and scale our Workday HCM --related processes and systems serving both internal and external business partners. This technical role demands a strong analytical, data modeling and business analyst background.
- Must have 7+ years of experience with Workday HCM**
- Manage and support key technical initiatives to deploy additional Workday functionality on the application roadmap.
- Design, implement, test and deploy business initiatives impacting HCM modules as well as understanding implications for downstream systems.
- Perform technical functions, including business process configuration, tenant configuration, user maintenance, audits, security enhancements and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and document requirements, review design, and define functional specifications.
- Evaluate new feature releases and enhancements and make recommendations to business.
- Support the ongoing enhancements and maintenance of Workday by applying best practices.
- Deliver high quality end user support and troubleshoot to resolve platform issues.
- Develop appropriate documentation for architectural, design, technical, implementation and test activities.
- Review and be alert of any system outages or service degradations.
What You'll Need to be Successful
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7+ years of relevant professional experience in supporting/implementing HCM applications in a corporate HRIS/IT role.
- Supported at least TWO end-to-end implementations of Workday HCM
- Understanding of the impacts to HCM processes and data feeds to other internal and external applications related to the relevant processes.
- Hands-on configuration experience of Workday Core HR, Security and Business Processes.
- Ability to create, deploy, and maintain Workday custom reports and dashboards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday HCM Certification
- Experience with Workday technologies - Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Report Writer, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields
- Experience with Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) suite - Benefits, Absences, Compensation, Payroll, Security, Recruiting and Time Tracking
- Experience with SOX principles and concepts
