Your missions

What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for a Workday Talent & Performance Lead to innovate, design, and scale our Workday Talent and Performance related processes and systems serving internal business partners and stakeholders. As a Lead, you will not have managerial responsibilities but will support your peers and complete hands-on technical work. You will need to use your Workday expertise, data modeling, and business analyst background in order to succeed and to deliver the best in class Talent and Performance experience in Workday encompassing its processes, employee insights to the organizations leaders and it's employees.

You will report directly to the Director of People Technology and will be based in India with occasional travel to our office in Pune, MH, India.

Additionally, You Will

  • Build and maintain Talent and Performance module and their related business processes, configurations (i.e. Talent and Performance Calibration, Goals processes, reporting and dashboarding), and important administrative features of Workday.
  • Perform roll-out of Workday Releases and functionality/enhancements.
  • Partner with the Talent and Performance SME to provide support on their upcoming Talent programs.
  • Gather and document requirements of new initiatives or changes to existing processes/procedures affecting Talent and Performance
  • Develop and deploy projects affectingTalent and Performance modules while considering downstream implications for recruiting and payroll systems.
  • Manage and support important technical initiatives to deploy additional Workday functionality on the application roadmap
  • Evaluate new technological solutions and make recommendations to enhance Workforce user experience
  • Develop appropriate documentation for architectural, design, technical, implementation and test activities.


What You'll Need to be Successful

  • You have 10+ years of experience with Workday.
  • You have of 10+ years of relevant professional experience in supporting/implementing.
  • You have experience with Talent and Performance applications and supported at least TWO end-to-end implementations of Workday Talent and Performance Calibrations/Goals AND/OR Workday PRO Certified.
  • You understand of the impacts to Compensation processes and data feeds to other internal and external applications related to the relevant processes.
  • You have hands-on configuration experience of Workday Core HR, Security, Talent modules.
  • You are knowledgeable of Workday Security, Reporting, Compensation modules.
  • Experience with Workday technologies - Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Report Writer, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields.
  • You can deploy and maintain Workday custom reports and dashboards.
  • You are comfortable providing end-user support and functional trainings.
