Description

As legal and judicial agencies transition to a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions stands at the forefront, providing transcription services to a variety of industries. We are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a 100% remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

The work will include transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings, requiring intense attention to detail and a strong familiarity with legal terminology. As a transcription consultant, you will process audio recordings while strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

As an independent contractor with VIQ Solutions, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while receiving support from our in-office team when needed. We offer work availability 24/7/365, accommodating various schedules, and candidates with weekend availability are especially encouraged to apply.

Skills Requirements

Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is required.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
