Job Title: Senior Vice President, Oncology Research and Development

Position Overview: Myriad Genetics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Oncology Research and Development to lead and drive the strategy and execution of product development within the Urology Business Unit (BU) and Oncology BU. The ideal candidate will possess deep clinical-oncology expertise and a strong record in leading innovative research programs, particularly in emerging fields such as minimal residual disease (MRD) technology. This role requires a leader who can bridge R&D, product management, and commercial teams to develop and enhance innovative oncology diagnostics, with a particular focus on prostate cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Drive the broader product development strategies within R&D for the Uro BU and Oncology BU, collaborating closely with product management and commercial teams.
- Spearhead Myriad’s leadership in emerging oncology applications and MRD technology, focusing on prostate cancer and expanding to other tissues over time.
- Product Development:
- Lead a small team of molecular scientists and collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to drive continuous improvement of Prolaris and the development of disruptive assays in the prostate prognostic space and other oncology domains.
- Oversee the development and execution of R&D initiatives that align with business objectives and clinical needs, ensuring the competitiveness and clinical relevance of Myriad’s oncology portfolio.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in urology and oncology to support the commercial uptake and competitiveness of Prolaris and the broader oncology portfolio.
- Secure access to clinical cohorts to generate evidence that enhances the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) support and clinical standing of Prolaris and other oncology products.
- Clinical Research & Advisory Leadership:
- Recruit and engage investigators for clinical studies that drive the utility and adoption of Uro BU and Oncology BU products.
- Lead research advisory panels, facilitating the design of clinical studies and ensuring the alignment of research efforts with commercial and clinical goals.
Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of clinical oncology, particularly in prostate cancer and related emerging technologies.
- Proven experience in leading R&D initiatives and product development in the oncology space.
- Strong ability to collaborate with product management and commercial teams to drive product success.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and clinical investigators.
- A track record of driving innovation and staying at the forefront of emerging technologies in oncology diagnostics.

Education:
