Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Paid Media Director to join our growing agency, which specializes in working with Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs). In this role, you will assist in leading and overseeing one of our regional agile teams in media strategy, planning, tactical execution, implementation, optimization, performance analysis, and thought leadership. You will be instrumental in driving integrated paid media strategies, keeping our agency at the cutting edge of the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading and managing a regional agile team focused on developing and executing comprehensive media strategies tailored to DMO clients.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns across multiple channels, including digital and traditional platforms.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to ensure that media strategies align with client goals and industry trends within the DMO space.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Media Director to drive the growth and success of media strategies, adapting to scaling budgets and evolving client needs.
  • Ensure effective media mix and integration of multi-channel campaigns to maximize client ROI.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the paid media landscape, including self-serve platforms and tools.
  • Assist in identifying and leading training initiatives within the team to enhance skill sets and ensure continuous professional development.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working in paid media, with hands-on expertise in managing campaigns on Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram).
  • Campaign Management: Proven track record of working on complex media campaigns that integrate multiple online and offline channels, particularly within the DMO space.
  • Reporting: Experience in developing and presenting monthly performance reports and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to clients.
  • Strategic Insight: Ability to translate client goals into actionable media strategies and adapt those strategies as client budgets and market conditions change.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including ad tech tools, bidding strategies, and performance tracking.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing campaign data and translating insights into actionable optimizations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and results to clients and team members.
