Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Producer/Broker to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their own book of business and become integral members of our production team. You will receive mentorship and training while building relationships with targeted carriers and retail insurance agents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain underwriting files and stay informed about policy reviews, inspections, and endorsements.
  • Understand market and underwriting guidelines.
  • Generate new business through various sales techniques, including agency visits, telemarketing, and cross-selling.
  • Work closely with a mentor to develop business and submit it to target markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our in-house rating and brokerage markets.
  • Assess new business submissions, negotiate terms, and select the best markets for coverage and pricing.
  • Oversee submissions through the process, ensuring timely quotes and negotiating to achieve acceptable pricing.
  • Coordinate administrative workflows with support teams for efficient service delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including coverages, rating, and technical procedures. P&C or E&S licenses are preferred but not required.
  • A sales-driven individual who enjoys building relationships and learning new strategies.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Reader; ability to quickly learn new programs.
  • Strong business writing and problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented team players.
  • Desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Production Assistant support role is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience with a wholesaler is advantageous.
  • Commitment to becoming a Producer/Broker within 1 to 2 years.
