Are you an experienced insurance underwriter with a knack for evaluating risk and a passion for excellent customer service? We're looking for a talented Commercial Auto Insurance Underwriter to join a respected and growing organization. While we prefer candidates located in Florida, we're open to considering individuals from neighboring Gulf and Eastern Seaboard states for this remote role.

As a Commercial Auto Insurance Underwriter, you'll play a crucial role in assessing new business submissions and determining coverage eligibility. You'll work closely with our Underwriting Operations Manager to ensure that each application is reviewed thoroughly and in accordance with established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review initial information provided by prospective insureds and agents.
• Prepare quotes and maintain ongoing communication with prospects until a policy is either bound or a decision is made not to proceed.
• Price and rate new submissions based on established guidelines, discussing with the Underwriting Operations Manager as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with insureds and agents.
• Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to achieving production goals.
• Oversee and support the Underwriting Assistants, ensuring accuracy in endorsement requests and bind reviews.
• Assist with renewal evaluations, revisions, and processing of bind requests as necessary.
• Handle various administrative tasks to support the underwriting team.
  
  

Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A college degree is preferred but not required.
