About The Role

Are you passionate about land management and real estate? We are looking for a detail-oriented Land Management Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with lease agreements and land-related contracts, ensuring accurate interpretation and documentation within our systems. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to a dynamic team from anywhere in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret lease agreements and other land-related contracts for real estate portfolios involved in development, construction, and operations.
  • Accurately abstract critical lease payment and contract terms into SAP-RE, adhering to agreement specifications for both new and existing contracts.
  • Conduct diligent research to resolve discrepancies and perform payment reconciliations as needed.
  • Evaluate rental provisions, including flat and complex rents across all phases, royalties, reimbursements (e.g., crop damage, legal fees, taxes), installation fees, and more.
  • Research historical transactions and uncashed checks for escheatment, and manage ad hoc payment reporting.
  • Reconcile contract legal descriptions with GIS mapping tools to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

We're seeking candidates who meet one of the following profiles:

Profile 1

  • Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) with a focus on SAP, particularly the Real Estate module.
  • Experience with real estate payments and contracts.
  • Proficient in managing open items on vendor accounts, including matching and clearing in SAP.

Profile 2

  • Background in Land Management.
  • Familiarity with legal descriptions and land management processes.
  • Experience with GIS mapping and visual depiction.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a payment or accounting analyst, preferably within the real estate sector.
  • Basic knowledge of US-GAAP and IFRS accounting guidelines.
  • Experience with lease and real estate contracts and understanding complex payment terms.
  • Prior experience with lease portfolio management is a plus.
  • Experience in the renewable energy or utility industry is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and SAP (especially SAP-RE).
  • GIS or other land mapping system experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
