Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate individual with a strong background in the food industry to drive our sales efforts. You'll be responsible for managing client relationships, developing new business, and executing effective sales strategies. If you're a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales and a knack for building relationships, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with our management team to create and implement effective sales strategies to attract and acquire new clients in the food processing, production, and retail sectors.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their testing needs are met with exceptional service and high-quality solutions.
  • Direct Sales: Lead the sales process from prospecting and generating leads to closing deals, focusing on selling products and services directly to clients.
  • Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to effectively position our products and services.
  • Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed sales goals through strategic planning and execution, with a focus on maximizing earnings through our commission structure.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with marketing, technical, and customer support teams to provide a seamless client experience.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales updates and forecasts to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: At least 3 years in sales within the food industry, with a focus on working with food processors, producers, and organizations needing testing services.
  • Connections: A strong network of industry contacts, particularly in the food processing, production, and retail sectors.
  • Sales Skills: Proven success in direct sales and meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of USDA FSIS regulations and the food testing landscape.
  • Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a sense of accountability and initiative.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Base Salary: \(50,000 - \)75,000, based on experience.
  • Commission: Highly incentivized structure with negotiable percentages based on performance.
