Your missions

Description

Are you an experienced Auditor with a passion for ensuring compliance and enhancing efficiency? This exciting opportunity is based in Bethesda, MD, offering a mix of remote work (initially 2 times per week) and on-site engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits on government contracts and subcontracts to ensure compliance with federal regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Review and analyze financial statements, cost proposals, and accounting systems of contractors.
  • Evaluate internal controls and identify areas of non-compliance or inefficiency.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and government officials.
  • Collaborate with contractors to resolve audit findings and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards impacting government contract audits.
  • Travel to contractor sites as needed for on-site audits and evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in government contract (Govcon) audits.
  • Experience with auditing within the defense industry or other government agencies.
  • Familiarity with DCAA audits, FAR, and CAS.
  • CPA, CIA, or CFE certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Caseware experience is a bonus.
  • In-depth knowledge of government contracting processes and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
