Your missions

Description

We're excited to present a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic property management team. In this role, you will oversee the property accounting functions and play an integral part in our financial operations. We value experience in property accounting but are also open to training candidates with various backgrounds in real estate.

Location

Hybrid/Remote (must reside in New Jersey or New York)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting for a portfolio of property assets.
  • Execute GAAP accounting functions, including reconciliations, general ledger tasks, and support during closing periods.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Oversee tenant and lease-related accounting, ensuring accurate billing and payment entries.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in recorded transactions.
  • Assist with audits as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience is also valued.
  • At least three years of experience in property accounting, whether in residential, commercial, leasing, or HUD environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive client relationships.
