The API Product Manager will be responsible for working with solution teams to define and maintain APIs as products along with their required features, ensuring APIs produced deliver value and reusability to the business. Working with our Solution teams, they will partner to ensure the APIs are well documented in our API Marketplace. API product manager is also responsible for ensuring optimal developer experience of the API Marketplace and its effectiveness through identification and tracking of key metrics for the API strategy. While the role isn’t directly responsible for the delivery of our APIs it is responsible for coordinating with development teams in delivering quality APIs adhering to Enterprise standards. The team this role reports to acts as the API Center of Excellence for Enterprise Mobility.

To be successful in this role, you will need to influence and partner with other technologists and leaders. You will need to foster relationships across Solution teams, ensuring we are developing cohesive and comprehensive solutions. Additionally, you need to be confident in managing work intake for the group and partnering with the team to coordinate effort as well as managing governance activities related to API standards and best practices.

The API Product Manager will work closely with executive leadership, program and project management, project sponsors and stakeholders, other technical product managers, and engineering teams. You may work with third party vendor partners to ensure project deliverables and timelines defined in statement of work (SOW) contracts are being met. You will collaborate closely with solution teams, helping to promote an API First mindset across IT and supporting IT initiatives as it relates to our API Strategy and Developer Services. Additionally, you will help solution teams ideate roadmaps and work towards accomplishing their API journey. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your strong leadership skills.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

Prior experience with product management and ownership is a plus

Familiarity with modern software development and deployment technologies including APIs, Microservices, DevOps
