Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to manage the inventory of all nuclear reactor plant components and materials for our special projects and programs. Experience in inventory management, automated systems, and preventive maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, expedite, dispose of excess material, report, and maintain records for all nuclear reactor plant components and materials.
  • Assess and meet all stock level requirements for special projects and programs.
  • Initiate preventive maintenance actions on components and materials.
  • Utilize automated systems to maintain records and produce data for analysis and presentation to management.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Generally, current federal employees must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • The appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement is subject to specific provisions.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Travel may be required within and outside the continental U.S., including remote or isolated sites, for extended periods.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present, and participation in medical surveillance programs is necessary.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment continuously during work shifts.
  • Work schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.

Education And Experience

  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • In lieu of specialized experience, qualifications can include:
    • Successful completion of a master’s or equivalent graduate degree;
    • Completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education;
    • Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. related to this position;
    • A combination of experience and graduate education that equates to one year of experience.
