Description

Embark on a rewarding career journey as a Remote Group Air Travel Advisor. This role plays a pivotal part in our team, serving as an expert in global airline carriers and related industries. You will consult and analyze airline lift availability and fare quotes for meeting and incentive destinations, ensuring budgeting and feasibility during the pre-sale design phase. As a key liaison with airlines and charter brokers, you’ll secure block and charter space for group travel programs.

Responsibilities

  • Price fares according to industry rules and guidelines for specific destinations.
  • Prepare accurate fare quotes within designated timeframes or negotiate additional time based on prioritization.
  • Utilize historical client event data to determine optimal origin cities.
  • Employ block space pricing and historical program data for precise fare quoting.
  • Confirm airline block space for large origin counts and gateway blocks to facilitate large movements.
  • Understand and apply annual airline group contracts, particularly related to zone or origin blocks.
  • Assist Air Operations team with contract rules and pricing.
  • Source and confirm charter aircraft when necessary.
  • Compare and evaluate current published airfares with negotiated rates applicable to our agency.
  • Collaborate with preferred Airline Group Desks to optimize quotes and lift for clients.
  • Develop airfare budgets ahead of program operations.
  • Negotiate airline group contracts and manage initial seat deposits.
  • Communicate effectively with Program Operations and Air Operations regarding commercial airline blocks, charter schedules, deposits, pricing, and penalties.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual block seat deadlines prior to program operations.
  • Follow Creative Group’s Standard Operating Procedures for group air purchasing.
  • Handle multiple tasks under pressure, prioritize effectively, and resolve conflicts with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field OR a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in the pre-sale side of group or incentive air travel industry.
  • Proficiency in SABRE GDS system is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of airline travel industry practices, including block space contracts and charter contracts.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, SABRE GDS systems, and accounting systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high-level customer service.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities related to destination viability, air lift capacity, travel parameters, and client preferences.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate risks.
