Agile Program Manager at Horizontal Talent

Our client is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join their remote team. This role is integral to our client's commitment to agile values and principles, ensuring the team's adherence to agreed processes and practices. The Scrum Master will facilitate scrum events, support the team in achieving their commitments and goals, and may also handle traditional project management duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide and coach the team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services
• Recognize areas of strength and improvement within the team, employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
• Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making and support organizational project or product teams
• Resolve team impediments and limit external interference
• Collaborate with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role and contribute to the advancement of Agile practices within the organization
  
  
  

Qualifications/Skills:

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
• Extensive knowledge of program and project management principles and methods
• Knowledge of multiple PPM and agile frameworks (i.e. Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum, XP, Kanban, LeSS, etc.)
• Proficiency in using appropriate tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Visio, ServiceNow, and all MS Office Tools
• Understanding of financial controls needed in project management and consulting work, experience with budget tracking
  
  
  

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of product/project development experience on an Agile Team
• First level PM and Scrum Master certification (CSM ) (PSM), PMI-ACP, PMI-PMP
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification, PMI- PgMP, Second or Third level Scrum Master certification (A-CSM, PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC), CSPO or equivalent
