Position Summary: The DCCC requires an experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as the Accounting Administrative Assistant. This position will be part-time working 20-29 hours a week and the primary duty is to assist the Accounting & Compliance Department in managing the DCCC’s financial activities. 


This position is part of a collective bargaining unit. 


Responsibilities Include:

  • Accounting Project Management
    • Process committee expense reports and vendor and staff payments
    • Assist with accounts payable process including transmitting payment information to relevant parties and completing documentation
  • Compliance & FEC Responsibilities
    • Track and review committee receipts and disbursements for data integrity
    • Assist with reviewing and ensuring accuracy of data disclosed on FEC report
    • Add supporting transaction details to disbursement records in accounting database
  • Departmental Coordination
    • Support the department with data entry and organizing file systems
    • Maintain the department calendar and scheduling requests
  • Assist the CFO and department with other duties and projects as needed
Requirements
  • Entry-level experience in accounting and/or administration
  • NGP experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines required
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and work both independently and with other departments in accomplishing goals
