The role:

Apothékary is looking for a strategic and self-motivated Social Media Manager to join our growing team! This role will report directly to the Director of Brand Marketing and will play an integral part in developing our rebrand social strategy and campaign programs that garner organic and earned social media coverage, widespread consumer awareness, follower growth, & engagement.

This role will support critical brand-building and communications initiatives including (but not limited to) Social Media strategy to support FY23 marketing calendar, brand campaigns and initiatives, partnerships, health practitioner relations, high-profile events, brand reputation and crisis management. 

Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage Apothékary’s social content calendar, including organic and support for paid social content, with the goal of outlining at least 1 month in advance
  • Oversee all deliverables, community management, growth, and engagement goals 
  • Build and execute a differentiated channel strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & Pinterest holding true to Apothékary’s brand values
  • Serve as a thought leader across social and share best practices, general guidance, and brand standards and guidelines
  • Support content creation as needed on paid and organic social channels
  • Own and develop comprehensive social campaign strategies across all platforms, ensuring alignment with brand goals and audience engagement. 
  • Spearhead the TikTok content strategy, staying ahead of trends, creating innovative content, and driving platform-specific growth
  • Serve as a primary on-camera spokesperson for the brand across social media platforms, embodying the brand voice and connecting authentically with the audience
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and management of seasonal interns and content creators, ensuring high-quality content production and alignment with the brand’s objectives
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and execute a range of projects from 360 campaigns, strategic initiatives, social narrative, and more, across both online and offline channels 
  • Source & vet on-brand partnerships for social media giveaways once a month
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and social media best practices to identify new opportunities and optimize social media strategies
  • Work hand in hand with the Creative team to develop compelling and engaging brand assets to drive new launches, support core products, and bring brand storytelling to life. 
  • Monitor and address any potential social media crises or negative feedback in a timely and professional manner, and take appropriate actions to protect the Company’s reputation. 
  • Work with Copywriter to ensure brand voice is unique to the industry and is consistent across all digital channels
  • Collaborate with the brand team to execute integrated campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • Track, analyze, and report on weekly performance metrics on social channels to inform what shifts need to happen and tests to implement
  • Continuously identify and connect with target audiences
  • Engage with followers, respond to messages and comments in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews in collaboration with our Customer Success Team
  • Search and create strategic brand partnerships that maximize the Company’s brand awareness
  • Provide support to IRL pop-up events/community engagement
  • Note that job responsibilities may evolve based on our growing company’s needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • At least 3+ years of previous work experience in social media with a proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with influencers and brands
  • Strong writing, editing, verbal and presentation skills
  • Passionate about storytelling through social media marketing 
  • Passion for health and wellness industry
  • Experience with working with or managing an agency
  • Detail oriented with ability to take initiative, prioritize, multitask, and work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite or related software
  • Communicative, trustworthy, and able to meet and anticipate deadlines
  • Extensive experience and understanding of TikTok, Instagram & YouTube
  • An eye for detail, graphic design & new trends
  • Comfortable being on camera
  • Strong copywriting skills 

Time and Location: 

The role is fully remote. Our team primarily works off of Eastern Time between 9:00am-5:00pm. Some flexibility will be allowed between those hours, but this role will work closely in collaboration with the full time team and therefore would be expected to work between those regular daytime hours.  


This position is available to start immediately.

  • $70,000 - $75,000 base salary
