Your missions

Description

You will play a vital role in optimizing our data center colocation strategy. This position requires expertise in sourcing and managing colocation spaces, building strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost-effective solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Category Management & Contract Execution:
    • Collaborate with commercial and technical stakeholders to define short and long-term colocation needs.
    • Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies from opportunity assessment to contract closure.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Lead interactions with colocation suppliers, crafting strategies that meet both internal requirements and supplier capabilities.
  • RFx Management:
    • Manage all stages of the RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes.
    • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and present findings to stakeholders to drive sourcing decisions.
  • Competitive Benchmarking & Market Research:
    • Stay informed about colocation market trends and dynamics.
    • Provide guidance on market changes and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Work with internal teams to measure and gather sustainability data.
    • Encourage colocation suppliers to enhance their sustainability efforts.
What You'll Get To Do

  • Analyze and evaluate potential colocation suppliers.
  • Develop sourcing plans, category strategies, and RFx documents.
  • Review spend analyses, prioritize opportunities, and recommend sourcing decisions.
  • Track and report key metrics to improve effectiveness and reduce expenses.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve optimal results.
  • Ensure clear requirements documentation and manage risks effectively.
  • Monitor and forecast demand levels and collaborate with reliable vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge through research and events.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years in Strategic Sourcing, with at least 2 years focused on colocation markets.
    • Proven experience in preparing cost models, negotiating contracts, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes.
    • Familiarity with the colocation landscape.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with RFP processes and standard sourcing practices.
  • Attributes:
    • Ability to articulate category strategies and make sound decisions.
    • Comfort negotiating large lease contracts, including Master Lease Agreements.
    • Experience working with legal teams on contract terms and conditions.
    • Independent work ethic with a proactive approach.
