Your missions

Description

As a Logistics Specialist, you will closely collaborate with our Logistics Supervisor to ensure operations run smoothly within our logistics department. Your role is crucial in driving safety, efficiency, and productivity, while also mentoring teammates and handling various tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of "Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time" through your actions and communication.
  • Execute logistics processes safely and efficiently to meet daily goals.
  • Create a positive and empowering environment for your team.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Provide expertise on technical and process-related matters during your shift.
  • Coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Support the training and integration of new team members.
  • Stay updated and certified in relevant regulations (49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, IMDG).
  • Ensure all safety, environmental, and health standards are met (OSHA).
  • Maintain inventory levels of packaging and shipping supplies.
  • Act as the go-to person for resolving equipment, process, and logistics issues.
  • Handle forklift operations for loading and unloading trucks.
  • Assist with customer and supplier deliveries and maintain accurate shipping records.
  • Complete personal and site goals to support career development and site success.
  • Archive shipping documents in our ERP system and ensure accuracy of all transactions.
  • Schedule shipments to meet delivery deadlines and work closely with other departments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher.
  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of filing IMO, AES, and ISF information.
  • Experience with forwarders and clearance information for imports and exports.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), as well as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Quick learner with the ability to multitask and adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
