Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Grants Administrator to support a large organization. This is a remote position. For immediate consideration email your resume to rkissinger@judge.com.

What does a Grant Administrator do?

  • Effectively manages grants and other project processes, including preparation of new, continuing, and competing grant applications.
  • Monitors status and spending of funded grants and prepares progress reports.
  • Maintains timely coordination and communication with involved parties (relevant departments, Finance/Accounting, external awarding agencies and subcontracted organizations) regarding aspects of the grant project and its progress.
  • Coordinates with Finance/Accounting, People & Culture (Human Resources), Information Systems, operational department contacts and other support departments throughout the organization to meet daily operating needs.
  • Provides guidance and assistance for projects who will receive services, materials, equipment, supplies, and/or other items from grants proceeds to ensure compliance with regulations and grant requirements.
  • Assists the Deputy General Counsel with planning and related needs.
  • Continually tracks the status of all grant applications and projects and provides status reports for the Deputy General Counsel on a regular basis.
  • Monitors salary funding on all grants and coordinates with Accounting on salary funding changes as needed.
  • Maintains complete and accurate files on awarded grants including: agency contact information, grant application, award documents, correspondence, procurement documentation, contracts awarded under a grant, reports submitted and reporting requirements, etc.
  • Coordinates and follows-up on incoming and outgoing awards to ensure timely billing, performance periods, award amounts and budgets.
  • Monitors all grant funded personnel/positions to ensure timely and accurate completion of time and effort reporting through effort reporting system. Meets with other departments as needed and works with project staff to ensure compliance with grant regulations and requirements.

To Be Successful As a Grant Administrator, You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field required.
  • Must have a minimum of two years professional experience in an administrative role with budgeting and financial tracking/reporting responsibilities.
  • Must have experience in grant budget management including preparation, monitoring, and post award administration. Must have experience managing grants projects.
  • Two (2) years of recent experience with federal grants preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills, and strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with diverse individuals and in a dynamic team setting is a must.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced skills level of MS Excel highly preferred.
