phia is seeking a Technical Writer to support a Federal customer tasked with advising on critical infrastructure security and resilience, public-private partnerships, information sharing, requirement elicitation, capability-based planning, and emerging technologies. This is a unique opportunity to participate in our mission to bolster the protection of our nation's infrastructure, providing products that contribute to the guidance in cybersecurity defensive efforts across government, industry, and the wider partner communities. Although this position is contingent upon contract award, we are actively engaging with exceptional candidates.
What You'll DoDevelop comprehensive products and documentation that meets customer standards. These include but are not limited to white papers, research papers, comprehensive analysis, presentations, meeting notes, and high-level, executive summaries.Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and other contract staff to create analytical products, strategic documentation, requirements and capabilities documentation, technical reference, and operational artifact.Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging contentWrite user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audiences (e.g. senior/executives, technical staff) to set our clients up for successEvaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement to evolve our clients’ products for easier consumption while meeting intent and objective.Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write standard operating procedures, technical specifications, process documentation etc.Collaborate on the implementation of standardized processes and deliverables.Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials. Education + RequirementsBachelor's degree5+ years of experienceAbility to communicate and collaborate with various audiences and subject matter experts in both government, public and private sectors.Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detailExtensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communicationsAt least 1-year proven experience working to support a government related project Able to provide samples of completed work products Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship required.Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust approval.DHS Suitability (EOD) required before start.Bonus Points!
