Job description

Your missions

MCS Group is proud to be working with an innovative Irish born organisation in their search for an Electronic & Embedded Systems Engineer. You will work remotely from the UK or Ireland as they develop their bespoke products to help organisations in the fight against climate change.

(Remote - Ireland/UK)

Responsibilities:

Lead the hardware development process for a new suite of devices, ensuring accurate and reliable insights into fuel consumption.
Manage the full development cycle, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop embedded software for data collection from sensors and transmission to cloud storage.
Assist in the field integration of new devices, working with engineers to improve installation and commissioning.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of experience in electronic engineering or a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering projects from concept to production.
Proficiency in designing and building electronic devices, with a solid understanding of power systems, circuit theory, PCB design, and device testing.
Experience in embedded device programming using embedded C is preferred.
Knowledge of RF circuit design.
Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, etc).
Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
Skilled in managing complex projects within a dynamic engineering organization.
Committed to contributing to the fight against climate change.
