Your missions

Join us as a Platform Engineer (m/f/d) - Developer Experience in our Platform Engineering team on a shared journey that matters!

You will be part of the team that provides the platform for all other teams to build and run their software. The DevEx team is at the heart of MOIA, creating software solutions for our developers and accounting for a wide range of technologies and approaches.

We identify underlying challenges, build tools that improve the developer experience of as many devs as possible and listen closely to the feedback we receive. On top of this, we help the teams by consulting them on AWS and Kubernetes-based solutions and delivering best practices. We keep the balance between reasonable guardrails and creative freedom. If things go south, we take over incident command and aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty.

While our work is hardly visible to MOIA’s customers, we are part of the backbone - the glue that keeps the service running smoothly. If you want to get more insights, please meet Max and Moritz.

What you will do
  • Deliver tools, shared infrastructure, and platform guardrails that pave a "Golden Path" for our developers, focusing on security, compliance, and efficiency to enable them to build great products.
  • Design, implement, and manage innovative services and development tools that automate internal tasks.
  • Ensure these solutions are reliable, developer-friendly, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate effectively within your team, with fellow members of technology and your wider stakeholder community.
What will help you to fulfill your role
  • You support a blameless culture and problem-solving with other teams, possessing an agile mindset and experience in agile methods. Having a background as a Software Engineer who has built developer-centric products is a plus.
  • You understand what developers love and how modern solutions should be designed, enjoying solving problems and integrating different perspectives.
  • You are proficient in Go and Typescript, embracing the "you build it, you run it" mentality and are passionate about cloud services such as AWS.
  • You have experience with architecting, building, and running highly available production systems with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • You have experience with pair programming and the agile software development process.

We encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all the requirements for the role since we are looking for a diverse range of experiences, skills, and interests. We are certain that there will be something for everyone because we are working on such a variety of tasks and embrace individual growth at MOIA.

In case you have questions regarding your application, you can approach the recruiter Ben or the hiring manager Max directly.

Our Future Work model

Since we love to collaborate, it is clear to us that we don't want to become a fully remote company, but we also don't need to spend every day of the week in the office to do a great job.

Our current hybrid work approach focuses on adapting to different needs, including increased flexibility that works best for the teams and the individuals with as much self-determination as possible.

Who we are

At MOIA GmbH, our team of more than 350 employees develops the technical products for our on-demand ridepooling service in the form of an end-to-end integrated product, from hub, fleet, and driver management to passenger and B2B solutions. At the same time, we want to make the vision of an autonomously driving mobility service a reality and plan to bring the first autonomous MOIA ridepooling vehicle to the streets by 2025.

At our offices in Berlin and Hamburg, international teams of developers, engineers, designers, and strategists work on a shared mission. As a tech company, more than half of our employees are developers. We pursue value-driven development based on our product values of comfort, reliability, safety, and privacy.
