Tribal’s engineering team supports this mission through the design, development and deployment of reliable, functionally rich and market leading software. The purpose of the Development Team Lead role is to ensure the successful delivery of the Semestry product/solution to clients through the management of your team and monitoring the development workload, additionally you will use your development expertise to ensure quality, timeliness, fitness for purpose and manage risk of the products produced.




Your Key Responsibilities are to:

  • Providing guidance and support to other members in the development team
  • Managing development schedules and work output
  • Meeting and managing development pipelines
  • Produce reports to management team including risk logs, deadlines, software quality issues and resource availability.
  • Drive quality by ensuring that latest best practice is adopted by the team in areas such as unit testing/code review and impact analysis.




What must you bring to the role?


You will be an experienced Senior Developer looking to take your next step up, or an experienced Development Team Lead looking for a new and exciting challenge. Key areas of expertise include:


  • Strong demonstrable experience in back-end technologies such as Java, PHP, Python or similar and frameworks such as Java Spring Boot, Laravel, Django or similar.
  • Experience in front-end technologies such as HTML5 and JavaScript, especially with frameworks and libraries such as Angular or React/Next.
  • Strong people management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to track and escalate risks
  • Broad experience and knowledge of testing/QA processes
  • Ability to analyse requirements and translate those into product specifications and test
  • Some experience running a Scrum process would be advantageous
