Your missions

Description

In this role, you will manage and supervise various projects to ensure they are completed successfully and meet all required standards. Your responsibilities are crucial in maintaining quality assurance and managing environmental programs while building strong relationships with clients and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and special instructions.
  • Address and correct any deficiencies found in project processes or outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting, both telephonic and written, to maintain compliance.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party contractors to ensure high-quality service.
  • Provide transparent communication with senior management regarding any issues related to invoices, contractors, or customer service, ensuring solutions are verified and approved.
  • Collaborate with senior management to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Offer leadership and development opportunities to project managers and support staff, ensuring they meet and exceed role expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and other stakeholders to implement company policies and procedures.
  • Manage daily business operations to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Return calls, emails, and other communications promptly, ensuring all concerns are addressed and resolved.
  • Maintain professional competency and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Waste Management, Health, Safety, Emergency Management, or a similar area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in hazardous material response and emergency spill management.
  • Relevant certifications (HAZWOPER, IHMM, RCRA, DOT, OSHA) are required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US and have reliable transportation.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk as needed.
  • Dexterity for handling equipment and materials.
  • Adequate vision and hearing, with or without correction.
  • Capability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds.

Work Conditions

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled office or remotely, with occasional travel to project sites in various weather conditions.
  • Typical work hours are 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as needed.
