Primary Purpose

The Director of Technology and Innovation will play a key role in leading thethe strategic direction for technology and innovation across OptymEdge. This role is essential in driving technological advancements, fostering innovation, and ensuring that OptymEdge remains at the cutting edge of the industry. Additionally, the Director of Technology and Innovation will provide leadership to the India-based OptymEdge team, ensuring alignment with global strategies and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of India, this role is a critical member of both the OptymEdge Executive Team and the Emmes India senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and alignment with the broader organizational vision.

Responsibilities

Global Executive Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the technology and innovation strategy for OptymEdge, ensuring it aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the creation, development, and implementation of advanced technology solutions that meet the business’s and clients’ needs.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation throughout the company, encouraging creative problem-solving and the adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with global leadership to ensure technology initiatives are seamlessly integrated into the broader business strategy.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, identifying opportunities for OptymEdge to leverage new technologies for a competitive edge.
  • Actively participate in the Emmes India senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Represent OptymEdge at a senior level, aligning technology initiatives with the broader strategic goals of Emmes India.

India Leadership and Operations:

  • Provide senior leadership to the OptymEdge India-based team, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure global strategy alignment.
  • Oversee daily operations and deliverables of OptymEdge team in India office, ensuring the efficient execution of OptymEdge projects and technology initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes professional development and team cohesion.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for OptymEdge India-based team , ensuring consistent communication and alignment with global OptymEdge leadership.
  • Collaborate with talent management efforts in India, focusing on retention, professional development, and upholding the company’s values.

Program and Technology Delivery Oversight:

  • Ensure successful delivery of technology projects, with an emphasis on quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic oversight for all technology-related initiatives, ensuring they meet or exceed established milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the seamless integration of technology solutions across the business.
  • Regularly update the Global and India Executive Team on the progress of technology initiatives, highlighting key successes, challenges, and improvement strategies.

Innovation and Culture Building:

  • Lead efforts to foster a culture of innovation within the technology team and across the company, encouraging the exploration of new ideas.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all technology initiatives, ensuring a wide range of perspectives are included in decision-making.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, ensuring that the India-based team remains connected to the global organization and its values.

Talent Management and Retention:

  • Lead initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the OptymEdge technology team, with a special focus on the India-based workforce.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies within the OptymEdge India team to maintain high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction .
  • Offer mentorship and professional development opportunities, encouraging continuous learning and growth within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems or the equivalent in education and experience required. Master’s degree or additional certification preferred.
  • Minimum (10+) years of project / program management experience with demonstrated increase in responsibility and project complexity, including managing enterprise level business and technology transformation projects and resource management, financial management, and/or budget analysis required.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing strategy and managing projects in a growth business.
  • Knowledge of technology concepts including process improvement, and agile methodologies.
