Your missions

Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled Premium Auditor to join our team. In this role, you will conduct thorough annual reviews of policyholders’ payroll, accounting, and financial records to determine accurate final exposures and premiums. You will collaborate closely with policyholders to gather information, verify classifications, and ensure adherence to state laws and industry guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review policy information and guidelines to prepare for audits.
  • Efficiently manage your workload, including scheduling appointments and making phone calls with policyholders.
  • Examine policyholders’ records and operations remotely to determine correct exposures and classifications.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, including exposure calculations, operation descriptions, and compliance with guidelines.
  • Communicate any significant changes in operations or exposures to Underwriting, Accounting, and/or Agents.
  • Stay updated with underwriting rules, guidelines, bulletins, and manuals related to Premium Audit.
  • Support Underwriters in marketing efforts to generate quality new business and manage potential classification and exposure concerns.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business-related field, with relevant accounting or premium audit experience.
  • Proven ability to be proactive, meet deadlines, and complete assignments efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with management, staff, and customers.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, growing company with competing demands.
  • Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in workers’ comp insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) and/or CPCU designation is a plus.
  • Minimal travel required.
