Part-Time Adjunct Faculty in Aeronautics

We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable professionals to join our adjunct faculty pool in the field of Aeronautics. This opportunity is tailored for individuals dedicated to sharing their expertise with a diverse community of students and helping them achieve their educational goals. Adjunct instructors are hired on an as-needed basis, providing flexibility in scheduling while offering a chance to teach various courses.

As a part-time faculty member, you will deliver engaging lectures, lead lab sessions, and create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with students to ensure their academic success while upholding professional ethics and maintaining current knowledge in the aeronautics field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in aeronautics courses according to established curriculum and guidelines.
• Be available for students outside of class to offer guidance and support.
• Maintain professional conduct and high ethical standards.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of aeronautics.
• Teach assigned classes in both lecture and lab formats.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment encouraging open discussion and the exchange of ideas.
• Fulfill responsibilities of a part-time faculty member to ensure quality education and a positive student experience.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus two (2) years of professional experience in aeronautics; OR
• An Associate degree in a related field, plus six (6) years of professional experience in aeronautics; OR
• Equivalent qualifications.
  
  

Additionally, Applicants Must Possess One Of The Following

• A valid FAA Certified Flight or Ground Instructor Certificate (for FAA Part-131 Pilot School courses); OR
• A valid FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (for FAA Remote Pilot courses).
  
  

Candidates should also demonstrate cultural competency and a strong understanding of the diverse backgrounds and needs of community college students and staff.
