Compound Planning, an SEC registered investment advisor with over $2B in AUM, is a high growth digital family office for entrepreneurs, professionals, and retirees. We’re a team of seasoned financial advisors, technologists, tax professionals, and operators delivering a magical experience to clients powered by our world class team, holistic approach, and proprietary digital platform.

We are hiring an experienced executive to lead growth as our Managing Director, Sales & Advisor Recruiting. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the company's advisor recruiting program while also participating with leadership in moving our strategic plan forward. What you’ll do 

  • Lead and grow a high caliber sales organization

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to attract high-caliber financial advisors, ensuring alignment with the firm’s growth and cultural goals.

  • Lead efforts and process to identify, attract, and engage prospective advisors through industry contacts, networking, and targeted outreach. Utilize various channels, including industry events, social media, and partnerships.

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial contact through to offer and onboarding. Ensure a smooth and professional experience for all candidates.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective advisors, acting as the executive sponsor recruitment process. Develop long-term relationships within the industry to maintain a pipeline of potential candidates.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive recruiting practices, and market conditions. Use this knowledge to adapt and refine recruiting strategies.

  • Partner with marketing to enhance the firm’s brand as an employer of choice in the financial advisory space. Develop targeted campaigns to showcase the firm’s unique value proposition to potential recruits.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to recruiting efforts. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on recruitment activities, progress, and outcomes.

  • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records and reporting in line with compliance requirements.

Competencies and Skills  

  • Experience leading a team through complex sales and/or deal cycles. Particular consideration given to candidates who have experience with quickly scaling businesses, and candidates who have experience particularly at the intersection of tech and wealth management. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and innovate outside the scope of existing resources.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up / technology-centric environment.

  • Ability to translate ambiguous circumstances into clear, actionable next steps to help others navigate change.
