How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an IT Web and Content Specialist you will be responsible for SPX’s enterprise web properties including the internet and intranet platforms, as well as working with key technology partners in the delivery of digital business initiatives. You will be responsible for managing the company’s customer-facing digital presence on the web and social media.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Website Administration
    • Provide guidance and support on web platforms, including SPX.com
    • Manage content and information architecture for the Enterprise
    • Manage external domain names, certificates and registrars
    • Manage external hosting partner relationships (i.e. Pantheon, Vimeo, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
    • Work with SPX IT and/or 3rd party partners to troubleshoot issues

 

  • Site Design, Consulting and Best Practices
    • Work with IT management in evaluating new web-related technologies
    • Design new sites and collaboration spaces
    • Work closely with team leaders and functions, providing guidance in user experience, web communications, content architecture, site design and brand
    • Drive user adoption and the rollout of new capabilities

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • WordPress Administration - themes, plug-ins, HTML/markup, deployment
  • SharePoint Administration – hub sites, themes, web parts, content types, security
  • Strong collaboration, communication and analytical skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience designing and delivering content for remote audiences
  • Basic image editing skills using tools such as Photoshop suite (or other image editing software)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Good project management skills, including working with third-party agencies and providers

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Azure/AWS cloud management
  • Experience with web development concepts and technologies
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics

 

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or completion of a code immersion course focusing on web development technologies
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in a webmaster, collaboration or technical analyst role
     

Travel & Working Environment

  • This position does not require travel
