Your missions

Role : Splunk Consultant/Clienthitect
Location: Remote
Hire Type: Fulltime

Primary responsibilities:
  • Assist in designing multi-site Splunk cluster that can handle Around 400 tera bytes per day ingestion volume across all clusters
  • Data pipeline integration with Kafka, Splunk and deployed on Kubernetes.
  • Provide day-to-day support on maintaining a large Splunk implementation (multi tera bytes per day log volume)
  • Work with Application teams (the users of Splunk) to resolve any usability issues reported
  • Develop monitoring for ensuring Splunk infrastructure health (Disk usage, CPU/Memory usage, Performance)
  • Ensure Splunk infrastructure is up and running and performing with maximum efficiency 24X7
  • Develop reports on Splunk usage share with team and upper management
  • Install and maintain Splunk Universal forwarder on Application/Web/DB servers
  • Perform upgrades and patch installs of Splunk infrastructure
  • Identify opportunities for Application teams to add Splunk Knowledge Objects
  • Ensure Splunk Universal Forwarder is up and running on all the identified Application/Web/DB Servers
  • Work with Splunk Support to resolve any issues on time
  • Thoroughly document any procedures to support Splunk Infrastructure
  • Write scripts to automate Splunk Administration activities
  • Provide explanation and information to others on difficult issues
  • Identify/quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
  • Maintain awareness of current technology assets, and the applicability and capability of each
Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years’ hands-on experience in administering Splunk platform
  • 2 years’ hands-on experience with automation tools preferably Kafka, Cribl, syslog.
  • 2 years’ experience in using configuration management solutions such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • 4 years’ experience in a software development or software support role
  • Minimum 2 years Administering Unix/Linux, Windows and/or Network
  • Excellent Shell scripting and/or Programming skill in any language
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Support experience in a large enterprise environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in APM/Monitoring tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, DC RUM)
  • Experience in supporting Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with Automation and SRE tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Gitlab, Github Actions.
