About the Role

Second Nature is looking for an experienced Collections Analyst who will be responsible for managing and optimizing the collections process, analyzing AR data, and implementing strategies to improve cash flow. Reporting to the AR Manager, the Collections Analyst will have a forward-thinking mindset that leverages industry best practices and adds value by evolving AR processes that will drive invoicing accuracy and collection efficiencies.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate monthly billing for a high volume of assigned accounts
• Manage a portfolio of accounts with varying levels of delinquency with limited manager direction or prompting
• Develop and implement collection approaches and strategies for more challenging accounts
• Resolve complex payment disputes and negotiate payment terms with customers
• Demonstrate proactive efforts in account collections to avoid aging of accounts that have not been contacted
• Analyze AR data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Run weekly/monthly/quarterly aging & other AR reports
• Assist the AR Manager with general accounting tasks as needed
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the collections process

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in B2B Collections
• 2+ years experience with ERP systems (bonus if you’ve used Netsuite) with the ability to generate and interpret reports
• 2+ years experience using SalesForce
• Intermediate experience user in Excel/Google Sheets/Google Suite
• Advanced knowledge of collections processes and risk assessment
• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex accounts
• Proven success meeting performance KPIs and improving collection metrics
• Ability to solve complex problems & use critical thinking
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality
• Unquestioned personal integrity and work ethic
• Eagerness to learn and grow with Second Nature
