OVERVIEW:

As a traveling recertification specialist, your role involves ensuring that our properties meet the necessary standards for qualification and ongoing eligibility through remote monitoring, tracking, reporting and training, as well as on site recertification support. The traveling recertification specialist will proactively contribute to ensuring Conifer properties are completing recertification's timely and accurately.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

•You will assist in ensuring property recertification's comply with local, state, and federal regulations such as HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) and LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credits)

•Tracking, documenting and reporting will be a key part of this role. Must have strong attention to detail.

•Must have the ability to anticipate when a property may need additional support to meet their recertification requirements and report to the appropriate stakeholders

•When on-site, prepare and process recertification's and related forms on time in accordance with Conifer’s expected standards of operations. This may include interviews, verification and final lease and TIC/50059 signing

•Must be able to work independently when on-site as well as with site staff and compliance team members

•Provide support/back up the property management team as directed

•Physical attendance at assigned work location during scheduled hours will be required. Days where onsite support is not necessary, will have remote capability.

Travel may be up to 50% to property locations in NY, NJ, MD, PA or other. Must be able to travel overnight.


EXPERIENCE:

•Minimum 3-5 years prior high level recertification specialist, CM or Affordable Housing Compliance experience required

•Experience with HUD Section 8, Low Income Tax Credit file preparation required.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint] for creating correspondence, internal and external reports

•Excellent data entry skills required

•Prior housing software experience desired; Yardi Voyager preferred

•Basic Accounting skills, good with math

•Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) a plus, but not required


EDUCATION:

•Minimum High School Diploma/GED equivalent required, college degree preferred

•Certifications required: Tax Credit Certification(s) [TCS, SCS, HCCP, CP3+] and HUD COS.


The salary range for this position is $57,000-$65,000. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
