Avid Technology is looking for a Media and Entertainment Enterprise Presales Solutions Specialist to join our team of media professionals. The ideal location for this position would be the greater Los Angeles area or the Northeast region of the U.S., with a hybrid work arrangement inclusive of flexible hours and remote working.

In this role, the Presales Solutions Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sales teams as a trusted advisor throughout the sales engagement process, aiding in qualifying business opportunities, demonstrating Avid’s video production workflow solutions and highlighting the value and differentiators of the Avid portfolio of Products and Services.

Market segment emphasis for this position is broadcast and large enterprise digital media and cloud solutions. Knowledge of additional market segments, such as post-production, are beneficial. This role requires significant engagement with existing customers and new prospects.

Primary Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales organization winning business
  • Collaborate with Sales, Presales and Solutions Design to qualify/develop opportunities
  • Planning, designing, and carrying out customer and partner demonstrations and presentations of Avid’s video solutions
  • Demonstrate video solutions remote and onsite, at tradeshows, partner events, user groups meetings, either in-person to audiences ranging from 2-200 or via the web
  • Supporting the building and maintaining of demo systems
  • Lead Proof of Concept (POC) engagements supporting application and workflow expertise
  • Use understanding of Avid’s product roadmap to assist customers with future planning
  • Use Avid sales tools like Salesforce.com for customer interactions & follow-up reports
  • Participate in Avid’s online and offline community
  • Create demo story plans with Product and Field Marketing
  • Partner with Field Marketing in demand generation activities supporting campaign preparation, planning, logistics, content preparation and product/solution demonstrations
  • Communicate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Solutions and Services and our Product Management teams sharing Voice of the Customer (VOC) needs, priorities, regional trends, and business cases supporting Avid’s continuous improvement of go-to-market plans


Skills /Competencies/Person Profile

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable delivering remote presentations, product demonstrations and complex workflows to large audiences including end-users and senior business executives
  • Media and Entertainment domain expertise with emphasis on new digital media workflows.
  • Knowledge of remote workflow tools
  • Skilled in understanding use-cases and clarifying operational, technical, and commercial benefits to a range of creative, technical, and business audiences.
  • Current on worldwide media enterprise industry and strategies for growth
  • Able to engage and build relationships cross-functionally within matrix organization
  • Ability and confidence to work closely with customers in a consultative and collaborative manner
  • Aware of security considerations for IT networking
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies
  • Experience working in video production, such as Broadcast News, Sports, post-production, etc.

Education

  • BA/BS degree desired or relevant professional certification in industry practice
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Additional language skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of major 3rd Party solutions for Media and Enterprise production
  • Operational knowledge of Avid workflows, newsroom systems and digital web-publishing tools are a competitive differentiator

Other

  • Ability to travel freely within the assigned geography and occasional worldwide travel. 20% travel time in customer facing role
  • Flexibility to work occasional/limited evening or weekend hours for sales training sessions, tradeshow, travel to customer site, etc.

US Pay Transparency Range $116,914.00 - $135,000.00
