The Opportunity
  • In this role, you’ll be spearheading the creation of episodes for our slate of over 15 Snapchat Discover Shows. These shows capture the latest in pop culture, internet trends, music, and sports. Tapping into the pulse and delivering content that engages and drives the conversation. You’ll collaborate closely with our talented content creators, editors, and graphic designers to craft visually stunning and compelling narratives that align with pop culture's fast-paced and ever-evolving landscape. We’re looking for someone who deeply understands the Gen Z digital audience, the creator economy, and the latest trends in digital content and social media. If you’re driven, innovative, and ready to impact the digital content space significantly, this is your role.

  • Responsibilities
  • The core responsibility of this role is owning the entire production process for multiple shows within our portfolio. This encompasses creative direction and strategy as well as execution, working with a large team of writers, talent, designers, and editors to produce multiple videos and assets on a daily basis. It is common for one of our producers to work with up to five people on any given episode while also being capable of taking over any aspect of the process personally if needed.
  • Produce Engaging Content: Using current events, internet trends, and your creativity, produce up to 8 original episodes per week for multiple Snapchat shows in the Low Battery portfolio. These episodes usually require a written script, voice-over narration, or on-camera host and are typically 3 to 4 minutes long.
  • Storytelling: Utilize storytelling techniques that are effective in short-form content to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience and drive retention—creating compelling hooks, teasing story elements before revealing the climax, etc. This includes best practices and techniques for encouraging engagement, such as shares, likes, screenshots, etc.
  • Make Data-Driven Decisions: Data is the backbone behind every creative decision. You will monitor and analyze the performance of Snapchat shows using in-depth data dashboards. You will own and track KPIs like views, watch time, completion %, and more to make informed decisions about all aspects of production, including content, workflow, technical elements, and more. You will use this data to communicate performance to the direct team and other stakeholders.
  • Design Captivating Vertical Thumbnails: Oversee and create multiple thumbnails for each episode, using current vertical thumbnails and Snap Tile best practices while pioneering new trends and techniques that will make thumbnails stand out.
  • Headline Copywriting: Craft engaging and accurate headlines that draw in viewers without engaging in clickbait or language that violates content guidelines.
  • Programming Strategy: Collaborate with the team to strategize and plan posting schedules, tentpole event coverage, monetization strategies, and more so that viewership and growth are maximized.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with a global team of editors, graphic designers, and content creators to ensure high-quality production and seamless execution.

  • What We’re Looking For
  • Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience producing short-form content for digital platforms, focusing on Snapchat, pop culture, and internet trends.
  • Graphic Design: Working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Video Editing: Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Gen Z Expertise: Deep understanding of Gen Z culture and trends, as well as social media platforms, notably Snapchat.
  • Creative Storyteller: Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging narratives in a short-form format.
  • Digital Savvy: Familiarity with the components of viral content and the nuances of different digital platforms.
  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • What We Offer
    -Competitive compensation
    -A fully remote team
    -Annual team summits
-Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, etc.)
    -Yearly skills development budget
