Community Boost is seeking a passionate and results-driven Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business growth through consultative selling, educating nonprofits on the power of digital marketing, and ultimately helping them achieve their strategic goals. If you are a dynamic sales professional with a deep understanding of nonprofit needs and digital marketing, this role is for you.

What you will do:
  • Cultivate New Opportunities: Generate new sales opportunities from SDRs and self-sourced leads, leveraging inbound and outbound strategies to build a robust pipeline.
  • Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Accurately manage and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and forecasting, updating all deals after each interaction.
  • Consultative Selling to Nonprofits: Educate nonprofits on the applicable usage of our digital marketing services through expert, empathic, and consultative selling methodologies, helping them navigate how digital strategies can achieve their goals and mission.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Navigate and manage the sales cycle from initial contact through qualification, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals. Build business cases, engage multiple stakeholders, and leverage multithreading strategies to win complex sales.
  • Custom Follow-Up: Deliver relentless and customized follow-up communications based on the unique needs of each nonprofit organization.
  • Feedback and Performance Optimization: Source feedback from management and colleagues to continuously improve your approach and optimize performance.
  • Team Selling: Collaborate and leverage team selling during complex sales, ensuring the right resources are engaged at the right time.
  • Goal Setting and Process Improvement: Consistently set new goals, refine workflows, and trailblaze new processes/SOPs to enhance AE efficiency.
  • Achieve Sales Goals: Attain and surpass closed won targets, maintaining a high standard of performance and impact.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver compassionate feedback on the quality of opportunities and maintain healthy approval ratios.

  • What you bring:
  • Sales Experience: 3-6 years of sales experience within a B2B SDR/BDR model or relevant roles, with a preference for those who have experience closing sales with nonprofits and managing sales cycles longer than 60 days. At least 1+ year in a closing role is required.
  • Consultative Selling Skills: Strong presence on Zoom and an ability to engage with empathy and authority, utilizing consultative selling techniques that resonate with nonprofit professionals.
  • Sales Framework Expertise: Proficiency in using qualification frameworks such as MEDDICC to build strong business cases and navigate complex sales.
  • CRM Proficiency: Prior experience with a CRM tool (we use HubSpot), with a demonstrated ability to keep meticulous records and manage pipeline data.
  • Digital Marketing Acumen: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing services, including the marketing lifecycle and sales funnel concepts, with the ability to articulate their impact to prospective nonprofit clients.
  • Nonprofit Sector Knowledge: A strong understanding of the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities within the nonprofit sector.
