Who are we looking for

We are currently looking for a Head of Data Strategy to join our leadership team and lead our data management strategy, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and strategic use of data across the organization. This role involves managing a team of three data professionals and working closely with various departments to address current data challenges and unlock valuable business insights.

How You Will Make an Impact (Responsibilities)


Data Strategy & Governance:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals.
  • Establish data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, security and compliance with data regulations
  • Create a unified data architecture that integrates disparate data sources and ensures a single source of truth.

 

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a data analysts and specialists team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement.


Data Integration & Accessibility:

  • Overcome data silos by integrating various data sources across the organization.
  • Ensure data is easily accessible to stakeholders and end-users through user-friendly tools and platforms.
  • Evaluate and implement data tools that empower end-users to create dashboards and perform analyses independently.


Data Quality & Collection:

  • Address gaps in data collection, ensuring comprehensive and accurate data capture across all systems.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to enforce data entry standards and enhance data collection processes.
  • Implement processes to regularly audit and improve data quality.


Dashboards & Insights:

  • Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards that provide insights into key business metrics.
  • Ensure dashboards cover the entire customer lifecycle and include essential metrics like Net Revenue Retention, Gross Revenue Retention, and churn.
  • Enable data segmentation by various dimensions (such as customer cohorts, country, and market).


What You Bring to the Team (Qualifications)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing data teams, together with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with data integration, data governance, architecture, data quality, and data strategy development.
  • Proficiency in data tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, SFDC, and other relevant platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Where you’ll be based

We are a remote-first environment, so this person can be based anywhere in Europe. We have a strong preference for candidates based in one of the following countries: Spain, UK, France, Germany, Italy, or Estonia.


Hiring Process 

  • Discovery Interview with Talent Acquisition Specialist (45 minutes)
  • Interview with Diego Curto, VP of IT and digital transformation (60 minutes) to dive deeper into the role's specifics
  • Final Interview with 3 members of the leadership team (approx 60 minutes), including a presentation, to gain insight into our team and direction and set expectations.
