Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position.  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsible for using subject matter expert knowledge of HR to be a thought leader in the area of risk management; leading and influencing partnerships with HR business process owners to identify, assess, mitigate 
and control key operational, compliance and other risk types within Human Resources. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the business process owners by risk consulting and providing advice on control design to effectively mitigate risks. Risk consulting support for the implementation of enterprise policies, standards/ procedures and regulatory 
    changes with the process owners.

  • Performs risk assessments to identify and assess risks, coordinates and supports control effectiveness assurance across the processes. Partners with Human Resources to develop, integrate, maintain and monitor procedures and controls to ensure compliance with Federal, State laws and regulations.

  • Participates in the development of root cause analysis, action plans and monitors the remediation in an effective and timely manner

  • Support a strong risk management culture through proper implementation and 
    execution of Corporate Risk Programs, Policies, Standards and Procedure

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, Finance or related field

  • 4+ years Human Resources, Risk Management, or Related Experience

  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years Human Resources, Risk Management, or Related Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • International HR Experience

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
