Job Description:
The Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining automated test scripts within our Automated Regression Test Solution, focusing on our Oracle HCM product and custom components. Test related activities include front-end, back-end, performance, and regression testing of various software solutions.  Scope of testing will include Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud (Oracle HR) and internally developed web systems. This position involves close collaboration with the project team to design, develop, and implement automation scripts that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of our testing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts for enterprise, web, and mobile technologies, with a focus on Oracle HCM and customized web systems.
  • Collaborate with functional and development teams to define automation test requirements and integrate automation scripts with the overall testing framework.
  • Contribute to the configuration, setup, and maintenance of our automation testing framework, ensuring adaptability to system changes and project growth.
  • Design, execute, and maintain automated test plans, cases, and scripts that align with project objectives and timelines.
  • Evaluate software and system functionalities using automation practices to verify performance and adherence to specifications.
  • Analyze automation test results to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.

Participate in the continuous review and enhancement of automation testing standards, procedures, and tools.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud testing and automation of Oracle HR or similar enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to develop automation scripts using tools such as Selenium and Jenkins, familiarity with SVN or Git for version control, and familiarity with Jira for ticket & test management.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt testing strategies to align with project phases and objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capability to analyze test results and collaborate on solutions with the development team and other stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust Security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on web and enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, and experience with Windows environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases and scripts for complex systems, with attention to modular and scalable test design.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
  • Experience with SQL for database validation and understanding of Oracle databases.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus.
  • Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
