The Construction Contract Manager Sr. is responsible for coordinating with our engineering and construction project teams around the creation, bidding, and execution of construction contracts for large capital projects. This role will need to have a thorough understanding of contractual principals and industry concepts related to construction and advanced knowledge of construction contract clause interpretation!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Coordinates with our project teams to formulate contracting strategy that mitigates identified issues
  • Assists with the development of the contract’s scope of work/schedule and identifies supporting documentation
  • Facilitates the bidding and execution of construction contracts; reviews contracts to understand risk allocation
  • Participates in cost analysis; schedules reports for compliance with the contract requirements and prepares relevant documentation
  • Resolves sophisticated problems to improve performance, efficiency and safety
  • Provides contractual support to field personnel and assists in providing written responses to and/or contributing resolution of disputes
  • Participates in critical decision-making processes
  • Ensures compliance with records and document management procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED; minimum six (6) years’ related experience creating, bidding, negotiating and implementing construction contracts and CDT (CSI) certification
  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • General knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas industry with specific knowledge regarding midstream engineering and construction operations
