We are currently seeking remote Financial Controller to join our team in Mexico.

Job Overview
The Financial Controller will oversee and manage the financial activities of the organization to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting. The role involves supervising accounting staff, managing financial systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: 
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with financial regulations as is needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against the budget and analyze variances.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Internal Controls
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • In the case of any audits, oversee that process
Cost Management
  • Analyze costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses and improve profitability.
  • Monitor and control operational costs across different departments.
Cash Flow Management
  • Manage cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Oversee the company's accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions.
Tax Compliance
  • Ensure the company complies with all tax regulations and files accurate tax returns.
  • Oversee tax planning strategies to minimize the company’s tax liability.
Financial Analysis
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, the board of directors, and stakeholders
Systems and Technology
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data within these systems.
 Strategic Planning
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives, providing financial expertise.
  • Work closely with the executives to align financial goals with the company’s overall strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of [2 - 3] years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
  • Expertise: Knowledgeable in US financial and US taxation codes.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
