Job description

Are you curious, motivated, and forward-thinking? At FIS you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.

About the team:

Our award-winning FIS Asset Finance solution enables financial institutions around the globe to quantify and mitigate risk, manage capital and the liquidity buffer, and apply risk-adjusted performance measures throughout the organization to optimize their risk-return profile. We foster a friendly atmosphere in the team, which is filled with intelligent and experienced people who are ready to share their knowledge. Open communication is an important part of our team, and we recognize and accept all new ideas and insights. Our stack is based on C# and Kendo UI web-based applications with a fast track to a cloud-based solution forming a part of our core system.

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Technical Solution Architect to join our team in a client-facing role. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing and implementing software solutions using .NET technologies, along with a strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position requires a strategic thinker who can translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

  • Integration Management: Manage and design solutions for integrating Asset Finance with external systems, establishing reusable patterns and guidelines for best practices.
  • Techno-Functional Role: Be equally comfortable with technologies and client-facing activities.
  • Map and design technical approaches for integrating Asset Finance with external systems (e.g., IdP, REST, plugins, Kafka, legacy system migration, in/outbound files, corporate reporting systems, external SaaS providers).
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather integration requirements.
  • Occasionally travel internationally for working sessions with clients.
  • Identify and design common integration framework needs within the application, providing proof-of-concept where required.
  • Coordinate with Architects to leverage existing or propose new application frameworks.
  • Guide build teams on both application and development of frameworks.
  • Document and publish guidelines, strategies, and best practices for integration patterns with external systems.
  • Document and publish guidelines, strategies, and best practices for bespoke, custom development.
  • Act as a tiebreaker on design decisions.
  • Review functional and technical approaches to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.
  • Participate in high-level estimation exercises for design approaches.
  • Communicate system architecture to technical and business audiences.

What you bring:

  • Minimum of 8 years in software development, with at least 5 years in a solution architect role focused on .NET technologies.
  • Proficiency in .NET frameworks, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, and cloud services (e.g., Azure).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

Additional bonus if you have:

  • Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript frameworks) and integration with third-party services.
  • Relevant certifications in .NET or cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

What we offer you:

  • A work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respect
  • Competitive salary and attractive range of benefits designed to help support your lifestyle and wellbeing (including private healthcare, 27 days of vacation, work from home – 2 days per week, etc.)
  • Varied and challenging work to help you grow your technical skillset
