We are seeking a forward-thinking materials developer to join our dynamic team, a diverse group of creative thinkers and passion for innovation to push the boundary. The team acts as an expertise to transform from concept to product and collaborate with the Internal/ external partners. 

 

As a CMF Technical Manager - Textile specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of innovative and sustainable materials for Logitech consumer electronic products.

  • Discover, Evaluate and Develop materials based on the performance, sustainability, desirability and durability.

  • Collaborate with the design and business team to deliver new material research and exploration roadmap. 

  • Conduct the comprehensive material characterization, testing, and analysis to evaluate properties.

  • Prototyping to validate the feasibility and demonstrate with stakeholders.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to integrate innovative materials into product designs.

  • Organize and upkeep of detailed records of material specifications, testing results in addition to both the materials showroom and digital material library. 

  • Keep up with material trends, technologies and sustainability initiatives in the diverse industries to provide insights, study and recommendations for design, business and product development teams. 

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • MS/PhD degree in Textile, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.

  • 7  years working experience in the Textile and footwear industry

  • Proven experience in materials development, with a focus on practical applications.

  • Strong understanding of material properties, characterization techniques, and testing methodologies.

  • Good communication skills in English and interpersonal skills; speaking Korean or Japanese are plus. 

  • Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.

  • Project management skills to drive the new technology development

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

  • Ability to travel (Europe, US and Asia)
