As a Database Developer, you'll be at the heart of our data-driven innovation efforts. You'll work closely with a diverse team of software engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to create robust and efficient database solutions. Your expertise will drive the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems, ensuring we harness data effectively to empower decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Architecture: Craft and implement database solutions tailored to meet business needs, including data models, schemas, and indexing strategies.
  • Development & Maintenance: Build and maintain database objects like tables, views, stored procedures, and functions using SQL and various database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance database performance through tuning SQL queries, optimizing indexing strategies, and fine-tuning database settings for speed and scalability.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Oversee the transfer and integration of data between systems, ensuring consistency and integrity.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply database security controls and access policies to safeguard sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Keep an eye on database performance and health, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime and maximize resource efficiency.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Document database architecture and processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain transparency and alignment.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong background in database development with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing database systems.
  • Skills: Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Expertise: Experience with database design and modeling, including relational and dimensional models. Knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
  • Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
