Senior Advanced Database/Web Engineer - National Security & Defense

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Advanced Database/Web Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing sophisticated data systems that integrate web and database components. Your role will involve:

• Design & Implementation: Lead the creation of advanced software solutions with both web and database elements. Develop and maintain operational systems, and introduce new features to enhance functionality.
• Algorithm Development: Implement and test signal processing and other algorithms, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in real-world scenarios.
• User Interfaces & Visualization: Build intuitive user interfaces and effective data visualization tools to enhance user experience and system usability.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of technological trends, experimenting with new tools and methodologies to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into our projects.
• Collaboration: Work across various functional areas, including systems engineering, development, integration, and testing, and interact directly with customers to receive feedback and refine solutions.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD).
• Experience: At least 8 years in a software engineering role with strong skills in modern practices for testability and readability.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in C++ and Python within Linux environments, SQL and/or NoSQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• System Design: Demonstrated experience in designing software systems that meet functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Citizenship: US Citizenship is required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
• Experience with DevOps and Cloud Computing (e.g., Gitlab, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Agile development processes.
• Ability to mentor and provide technical advice to other engineers.
• Current TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
  
  

Location Details:

This position is based at our Tucson, AZ headquarters. Please note that remote work or telework is not available for this role.
