Job Purpose:
 

In an expert lead capacity, this position will have the opportunity to make a significant impact through the analytics and/or data thought leadership to support the business strategy to enable value creation and risk mitigation. Additionally, in this position the consultant will demonstrate agility and curiosity in learning the business strategy, applying creative thinking and problem-solving skills to design solutions and roadmaps to support the business strategy.

The consultant will collaborate with all levels of leadership for the purpose of understanding, aligning, and delivering analytical and/or data solutions to enable business value to the business partners. The consultant is viewed as an expert and is responsible for; the oversight of business success metrics and trends, prioritizing analytics and/or data work, collaborating and leading cross-departmental projects, and solving high-risk business problems. In this capacity the consultant will establish best practices for analytics and/or data consulting for others to follow.

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Manage business relationship, understand business strategy and needs with an aim to create a trusted partnership.
  • Participate in business strategy discussion and provide guidance.
  • Define and size business opportunities/problem that can solved through analytics and/or data management.
  • Assess the opportunity or problem at hand to explore a value-based analytics and/or data solution.
  • Design analytical and/or data solutions from a broad array of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive techniques.
  • Develop analytics and/or data roadmaps to support business strategy.
  • Plan and manage projects to deliver analytics and/or data solutions.
  • Interpret trends, draw insights, and suggest recommendations to continuously improve decision support and value enablement.
  • Communicate the analytics and/or data plan and insights with expert storytelling ability.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, math, economics, computer science, management information systems, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 years' related analytics and/or data experience in applicable business domain.

Analytics/Data Acumen:

  • Understanding of analytical and/or data management techniques and their practical application.
  • Conceptual understanding of when to apply the right form of analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive) and/or data concepts and techniques.
  • Current knowledge of analytics and/or data trends and tools (R, SAS, SQL, Power BI).
  • Ability to drive conclusions and recommendations from statistical and data analysis and trends.

Business Consulting Acumen:

  • As a consultant, you will be spending your time understanding business strategy, pain points, customer needs, and data strategy, to formulating an analytics and/or data strategy and presenting a plan to businesses seeking your advice. You will gain an intimate understanding of products/services in your own area and knowledge of those in other areas; you will be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate TruStage in the market. Base Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $162,100.00
