Location: Fully Remote (LatAm)

Schedule: US Timezone - PST

Salary: $1800 - $2200/month

We are looking for a Leasing and Property Management Assistant to work for a private equity investment firm specializing in real estate and focuses on acquiring and developing housing in emerging neighborhoods, targeting young professionals and working families. Their investment strategy combines traditional methods with unique approaches to drive growth and create value for both investors and the community.

The Leasing and Property Management Assistant will work directly with the Head of Property Management. The primary focus for this role will be to help facilitate the process of finding and vetting tenants for the properties they own and operate.

The ideal candidate will have the aptitude to scale with the company to take on a broader real estate project management role: managing external contractors and maintenance technicians and designing, posting, and managing marketing materials end-to-end.

They are looking for a candidate with a strong background in commercial real estate, including positions like leasing and sales brokers, property maintenance management, and asset management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to all inbound inquiries from prospective tenants in a very timely manner
  • Answer questions for prospective tenants and consult with the team if unsure of any details for clarification
  • Assist prospective tenants in scheduling their tours (coordinate with the touring team as needed). Follow up with prospective tenants after their tours
  • Send application instructions to prospective tenants
  • Kick off background checks for prospective tenants and conduct reference check
  • Notify tenants once they are approved
  • In general: Track all notes, progress and prospective tenants in AppFolio
  • Ensure all real estate listings are active and renew them as needed
  • Assist with the creation of marketing content. Monitor content across our marketing channels

Requirements

  • At least 4 years prior experience working on the leasing of residential or commercial real estate
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, including Sheets
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, including being comfortable on the phone in English. Spanish proficiency is a plus
  • Prior experience using AppFolio and Asana a plus.
  • Strong preference for candidates that are personable, social, and comfortable chatting with people, as this is a customer facing role.
