Your missions

Location

Remote-based, with preference for New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. Other Northeast locations will be considered secondarily.

About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to support our stunning properties in Mexico and Costa Rica. This role is responsible for identifying and sourcing leisure business to maximize room revenue during peak and non-peak periods, in alignment with our strategic plan. You will report directly to the Area Director of Sales and collaborate closely with the revenue team to ensure our leisure sales strategy meets the business needs of each property.

Your Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development
    • Oversee account and production goals within the assigned region.
    • Generate leisure business for each hotel to support the collection’s revenue goals.
    • Initiate and evaluate opportunities for developing new sources of business.
    • Plan and execute a 12-month strategic business plan and contribute to the development of the hotels’ leisure marketing plan.
  • Relationship Building
    • Build effective relationships with consortia accounts (e.g., AMEX FHR, Virtuoso, Signature) and luxury travel agents within the assigned territory.
    • Visit and present our resorts to the assigned territory, fostering positive relationships.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Support the hotels’ wholesale account strategy.
    • Participate in weekly Revenue Management calls, scheduled conference calls with the Area Director of Sales, and property-specific calls as needed.
    • Maintain accurate Salesforce database of clients and ensure overall accuracy of the regional database.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis
    • Provide feedback and goals for annual sales plans and budgets.
    • Develop regional planning and strategies to increase brand exposure.
    • Evaluate promotional events, trade shows, community, and industry events to ensure proper return on investment.
  • Training and Support
    • Assist the Area Director of Sales & Marketing with corporate initiatives and the training and growth of the coordinator position.
    • Target key accounts to host familiarization trips to increase ROI.
    • Work with tourism organizations to maximize regional opportunities and buying power.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a luxury hotel sales environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales revenues in a hotel environment.
  • Strong computer skills (Google Suite, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Social Media).
  • Full written and verbal fluency in English.

Preferred

  • Prior experience selling multiple properties or brands.
  • Prior experience in international hotels/resorts.
  • Prior experience working in a remote sales office setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Prior experience working with professional organizations that support leisure.
  • Knowledge of GDS, Virtuoso.com, AMEX FHR Portal.

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic and international travel to promote resorts to travel agents, at trade shows, and to the resorts.
  • Travel to resorts as requested for site visits, meetings, and travel professional-related FAMs.
  • Travel for internal sales and marketing meetings.
