Your missions

We are seeking an experienced social media manager, reporting to the global head of social media and working collaboratively to implement the strategy for our corporate accounts, elevate our brand presence across key platforms, drive engagement and achieve our business goals. 

Your role will be highly creative and varied, from managing the social media calendar, to curating strategies for global campaigns, creating thought-leadership content that delivers results and engaging business as usual content aligned with the business objectives.

You will be part of a tight-knit team and be supported by colleagues across the marketing and brand & corporate communications function, including our in-house designers, PR, analyst relations, content and brand team.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex social media programs, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, and delivering impactful results. 

You will have a passion for social media, with a deep understanding of the social landscape and networks, nuances of the different platforms and features and the latest trends.

You will have superior English both in terms of written and verbal communications and a proven history of creating engaging copy

You will be creative and have experience developing high quality, engaging and results-driven campaigns that are audience-centric. 

You will also have a strong sense of initiative and experience with reviewing and responding to briefs and working across key digital channels. You will be proactive and data-driven to bring results. 

Job responsibilities
  • As a social media manager, you should have excellent multi-tasking skills to handle all of our social media accounts in a cohesive way. You will be able to devise creative ways of presenting our brand through multiple social media channels.
  • You will have a knack for taking complex technologies and transforming them into clear, simple and engaging concepts. You will be able to work cross-functionally and have experience with stakeholder. management and will have a deep understanding of social media metrics and report on our performance.
  • You will also be able to build relationships, knowing what it takes to bring senior leaders and colleagues on a journey and help persuade them to take chances on social media that bring our comms to a higher level, while maintaining the integrity of our work and brand.
  • Work with the global head of social media to implement and evolve the strategy for global organic campaigns and wider channel strategy, followingsocial media trends, best practices, algorithm changes and tailoring content to wider business objectives.
  • Be the point of contact for social media advisory in India, the Middle East and  APAC. Be a go-to-person to ensure content has the best possible impact and chance of success on social media channels.Continue to build our social media community by engaging with our audiences and responding to relevant mentions, feedback and queries.
  • Help to implement and uphold existing and new social media processes.Manage the editorial social media calendar, including incoming requests, ensuring best practices are maintained.Report on overall social media and campaign performance and suggest areas of improvement.
  • Take a leading role in the development of campaigns, coordinating with in-house designers, copywriters, multimedia and regional teams to align supporting assets to organic campaigns.
  • Identify gaps in our social media content and recommend new topics, content types and tactics.Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content.
  • Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy, on our internal tools and best practices.Work with global head of social media to create a strategy for all global Insights (thought-leadership) content promotion, including podcasts, blogs, articles and more.
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders on campaign planning and asset creation to ensure they are fit for purpose on social media.Utilize social listening to identify trends, gaps and potential crisis situations.Understand our audience personas and apply audience insights to shape social content, including copy and visuals.

Technical Skills
  • Understand the power of storytelling and use it to grow our audience, increase awareness of Thoughtworks among business critical audiences and their engagement with our content .
  • Help develop an executive social media program and playbook.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to manage and amplify their presence on social media.
  • Support crisis management efforts, tracking, developing and implementing response strategies to mitigate risks and protect the brand’s reputation.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring that Thoughtworks remains at the forefront of the digital landscape.
  • Experiment with new formats and platforms to expand Thoughtworks’ social media presence and reach new audiences.
  • Degree in English, marketing, communications, journalism or a relevant field.Superior English both in terms of written and verbal communications.
  • Over seven years social media experience in either a B2B or technology agency or in house with a professional services firm or media outlet.
  • Proven experience of building and managing social media content strategy.
  • Extensive experience with social media tools like Meltwater, Brandwatch and native analytics.
Professional Skills
  • Experience of managing crisis situations in a social media environment.
  • Hands on experience of using social media for brand awareness.
  • Strong project management skills which demonstrate an ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and influencers.
  • Comfortable working with a very diverse range of internal stakeholders to develop and produce social media campaigns.
  • A can-do attitude and strong attention to detail, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a virtual team.
  • Comfortable presenting plans and results to cross-functional team members, including senior executives.
  • Ensure consistency when it comes to tone of voice and house style on our social media channels.
  • Ability to collaborate with, guide and motivate team members undertaking social media across the world.
  • Understanding of social media metrics is a must along with working understanding of SEO and web traffic.
